This morning I was awakened by the sounds of waves crashing ashore. I was thrilled about the idea of running on the beach. Prior to my trip, I had researched tips and tricks for running on this unfamiliar surface. I learned that running on the wet sand was the way to go. The wet sand was easier, but not easy. I got an additional workout I wasn’t planning for. The sounds and sites of the beach were very peaceful. I was enjoying some wonderful quality time with my thoughts. And I was happy that I had not decided to skip my workout on this getaway.
As the sun and the temperature got higher, the sweat poured down my face and back. Almost four miles this morning and it wasn’t even 9am. Go me!
